Our beekeeping education is designed to take you from understanding the basics to gaining real, hands-on experience. Start with Bee Basics for an introduction to honey bees and beekeeping, step into the apiary with Beyond the Basics, or spend a full season learning alongside us through our Cooperative Education Program.

Ever wondered what it really takes to keep bees? Get an approachable introduction to honey bee biology, equipment, seasonal care and what happens inside a colony, with plenty of opportunity to ask questions. Facilitated by Sandra on Saturday, September 26, 2026, 10:00 am-1:00 pm. Workshop instruction is in English with a bilingual instructor, and all materials are included.
Ready to get into the hive? Beyond the Basics is a full-day, hands-on beekeeping experience combining practical learning with real time in the apiary. Learn how to safely inspect a colony, read the frames and better understand what’s happening inside the hive. No experience required, although Bee Basics is recommended. All protective equipment is provided.

Thinking about starting bees next spring? Spend an evening getting to know how a colony works, what equipment you actually need and what beekeeping looks like through the seasons, with time to get your beginner questions answered. Facilitated by Sandra on Tuesday, November 24, 2026, 6:30-8:30 pm. Workshop instruction is in English with a bilingual instructor, and all materials are included.
Want to learn beekeeping by actually doing it? Our Cooperative Education Program takes you through a full beekeeping season with hands-on learning, regular hive inspections and practical experience caring for honey bee colonies alongside the Apiverte team. Designed for partners to learn together, the program includes monthly full-day sessions from March through February, with additional opportunities for assisted inspections and field experience during the active season. Tuition is paid through a convenient monthly subscription.
