By including artists murals on all our EZHouses we are providing a unique and beautiful home for the bees while attracting human guests to their plight.

Each artist brings their own perspective and spirit to the #savethebees effort through their art and their generously donated time and creativity. 

Coming in 2020 we will be offering a Honey & Art Tour of the region where you’ll be able to meet the artists and the bees. 

Call for Artists 2020

We’re building and installing 5 new EZHouses throughout the 5/105 corridor of the Gatineau Hills. We are seeking local artists to create murals on the sides of our bee houses and hives for permanent installation. 

Specifications

• Bee houses are exposed to the elements – direct sunlight, rain, snow and wind 24/7/365
• Panels are approximate 4′ x 8′ and made of V-joint pine
• Panels can be delivered primed or unfinished to the artist
• Bees will be crawling, landing and living near the artwork and thus all materials should be environmentally sensitive
• Medium is negotiable as long as it meets the above
• All surfaces will be weather-treated after installation
